Care Guide

Built for the walk.
Cared for, it lasts.

A well-made leather shoe improves with wear and a little routine. None of this takes more than a minute.

Between wears

  • Wipe with a soft, dry cloth after each wear to lift dust before it settles into the grain.
  • Rotate — give each pair a day to rest and dry fully. Leather that never rests loses its shape first.
  • Store with the original tissue or a shoe tree to hold the toe, and keep them out of direct sunlight, which fades colour.

Water and marks

  • If caught in rain, blot — don't rub — and let the pair dry naturally, away from radiators and hairdryers.
  • For light scuffs on smooth leather, a colour-matched cream applied sparingly with a cloth, then buffed, is all you need.
  • For anything more, trust a professional. A good cobbler can do things no home kit can.

Heels

  • Heel tips are designed to be replaced. Once the tip wears to the metal, have it swapped before it damages the heel itself.
  • Avoid grates, cobbles and soft ground where you can — a slender heel is a lever.
